Gang Gang from the Gutter, and happy Caturday!
With all the news and excitement yesterday, from the launch of the GCG Community Gallery to the Puffer Fashion Showcase winner announcement, it's easy to overlook one very important moment: a Gutter Cat Gang community member WON A FUCKING FLAMETHROWER!
Hell, yeah. Read it again, for the culture: A FUCKING FLAMETHROWER.
That's right, Gang. On 4/7, Gutter Arcade tweeted, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN..WE HAVE A WINNER. The Gutter Boast brought out some serious talent in the realm of positivity. So much so that we needed to add a 2nd place prize. Congratulations to our top Boaster:
@ErgoghSapien!! And our runner-up boaster: @zenshortz."
The Gutter Boast was launched by Gutter Arcade x Community First on March, 31st, when @r0seNY tossed a plot twist in last year's Roast Battle. He invited Gang and other communities to "compliment your favorite web3 people and win prizes!" A flamethrower -- yes, that's right -- will go to the "top boaster."
Gutter Arcade wrote, "These two went above and beyond to bring positivity to the table by highlighting the incredible people around them.
In the end, @ErgoghSapien dropping the boasts in the form of an anti-diss track was enough to push him past @zenshortz in the final minutes."
To hear @ErgoghSapien's anti-diss track, Gang can check out the link he shared, since it was TOO BIG TO UPLOAD DIRECTLY: https://clipchamp.com/watch/G0THGHSOoqR
The Gutter Cat Times reached out to @ErgoghSapien to hear more about his experience in the Gang and what he plans to do with his new flamethrower!
He joined the GCG in November of 2021, and attended the Gutter event at Art Basel the following month. Ergogh "fell in love with everything about the project and community." He added, "Being in the Gutter means a lot. It's not just a community - it feels like a family - and it introduced me to so many incredible people who have inspired and impacted me in many ways." He said he's grateful to everyone he's met in web3, and "Just because you weren’t named this time doesn’t mean you are forgotten or not appreciated!"
As for the flamethrower, Ergogh wants "to shoot a music video somehow, somewhere," and he will get the flamethrower involved, 100%!
Congrats to Ergogh and zenshortz for spreading their web3 and Gutter love! Thanks, too, to Gutter Arcade for another fire interactive community event! Gang Gang!
