Team Gutter Cats have that dog in them after they got the "W" yesterday in their first game in ESPN's The Basketball Tournament!
In a 77-72 victory over The NAWF, the Gutter Cats dug in with characteristic Gutter grit, and they're just getting started!
The Gutter Cat Gang tweeted, "Team Gutter Cats secured the W in round 1 of @thetournament. We get back to work Thursday at 6 PM EST in Louisville. See you there. Gang Gang on 3."
The Gutter Cat Times reached out to the Co-General Manager of the team, Bman28, AKA, Brandon Forman (@brandonforman), to find out how the team's getting ready for game 2 on 7/27.
Bman28, who joined the GCG 1.5 years ago, said, "The team was very happy to get a win, but dissatisfied with how we finished the game. We were up 18 with 1:20 left in the 3rd quarter."
He told the Gutter Cat Times that this morning's practice focused on addressing areas for improvement.
Bman28 is passionate about sports, and stoked to see the Gutter Cats' team take the floor and finish strong in Louisville on Thursday!
"We're looking forward to our game tomorrow against Shell Shock at 6 pm. We hope we make the community proud."
