Swish: Gang Scores 2nd ESPN Appearance at TBT

Gang Gang from the Gutter!

There's lots of action happening in the Gang, and the focus on sports is heating up.

As the Gutter Cat Times reported earlier in January, the GCG announced that the Gang-sponsored basketball team, Gutter Cats, is headed back to @thetournament.

ESPN's, The Basketball Tournament, is a 64-team competition made up of top professional, college alumni, and international basketball players competing in a single-elimination 5-on-5 tournament for a winner-take-all $1 Million prize.

2022's Gutter Cat sponsored team made it to the quarterfinals. Plus, during TBT, @GutterCatGang aired a well-received commercial that proclaimed "NFTs are Community. NFTs are Identity. NFTs are You."

On March 4th, Grant Flannery (@grantpat), who joined the Gutter in the first month of its launch and rocks Gutter Cat #1259, tweeted that he's working on the Gutter's Team for @thetournament. He wrote, "Happy Caturday! It's time to get to work on our team...I'll be working with @GutterCatGang on sponsorships for the team. If you're a brand or work for a brand that loves basketball and wants to possibly be featured on ESPN then let's chat. LFG!!"

The Gutter Cat Times reached out to Grant, who said that last year, the Gang had strong Twitter engagement, and this year is "really looking to get the brand back into the mainstream. This is an awareness play that shows we are a brand that lives and breathes culture and basketball is a sport that creates culture. We want millions of people to see GCG and be interested in the NFT space."

Grant is "excited about building the brand and continuing to evolve. TBT is a great step to bring the community together and I look forward to taking out the ‘ship."
