The Gutter Records' team keeps droppin' tales from the streetz 'and the winner is' the Gang community and the web3 space at large.
Gutter Records has been dropping beats and telling the tale of the Gutter streets over the past few weeks. This new song, a sequel to a recent narrative, builds off of an earlier story, "Walk With Me," which set the stage for Cleaner and AWeezy's vision and how each "took separate paths in life," while "respecting each other's hustles."
"First of all I'd like to thank my connect," Gutter Records' tweeted including a 44 second story that takes inspiration from Jay-Z's song, Roc Boys (And The Winner Is).
Clicking the link, their story goes like this:
"Cleaner's vision was always more than the streets could give us
Somehow he was always several steps ahead.
While we were thinking of ways to get money to buy candy, he was always the one selling it.
We laughed at the suits.
He was always the type to admire another person's perspective and tried to apply it to his blueprint.
Our focus was always on how to make money.
Cleaner's focus was - and still is to this day - on how money makes money.
(fade to Jay-Z song & speech: First of all, I want to thank my connect...)"
As the Gutter Cat Times reported earlier, Gutter Records launched in August, and their ambition is to create content from music to podcasts and other digital media ventures; they're working to connect artists and audiences in dynamic new ways. The core team is Cleaner, Aweezy, and GutterBeats, with other Gutter talent contributing as well.
AWeezy told the GCT that Gutter Records' was just getting started, and they're "going to deliver a story, visuals, and music consistently throughout this process."
