The Gutter Cat Gang is vibin' and the beats are pumpin'!

As the world wakes up to a Gutter Cat Gang renaissance, Gutter Records had the Gang waking up to a free mint of their second single, "Wake Up Call."

Keeping their foot on the gas, Aweezy (@AWeezyNFT) collaborated with Grammy nominated rap artist Freddie Gibbs (@FreddieGibbs) on this latest track.

On Sunday, October 15th, AWeezy tweeted, "We’re halfway minted out, get em while you can. @AweezyNFT feat. @FreddieGibbs - Wake Up Call (Produced by @EricVanderslice). Shout out to @gutterbeats_eth for both the art and being an absolute G on the dev side. Shout to @NyCleaner for being the MF man and empowering us further. Shout to the whole @GutterCatGang community, this one’s for us, by us."

141 of 250 editions of "Wake Up Call" minted as of 12pm today, when the mint closed. The dope AF single is now available on secondary for .029 ETH here: https://app.manifold.xyz/c/WakeUpCallFtFreddieGibbs?utm_source=minted_tweet.

As The Gutter Cat Times reported earlier, Gutter Records launched in August, and their ambition is to create content from music to podcasts and other digital media ventures; they're working to connect artists and audiences in dynamic new ways. The core team is Cleaner, Aweezy, and GutterBeats, with other Gutter talent contributing as well.

The Gutter Cat Times talked with AWeezy to get the inside scoop on this latest single and collab with the famous rapper Freddie Gibbs.

He said, "I’ve always been a fan of Gibbs, especially the cohesiveness of his work with Madlib, but mostly we know he can rap circles around mfers."

AWeezy and his producer went on a mission to connect with Gibbs' team, and shared beats before the session took place: "We recorded this at DJ Premiers studio HeadQCourterz. Freddie rolled up with his entourage, we all chopped it up and started playing the beats. Freddie sat down and wrote his verses. We rolled some blunts and blew some trees. Music was made."

The Gang was stoked for the single, with burningthru.eth (@0xsavvy) tweeting, "GangGang been listening to this track for the last 30min, just looping on OS. Beat goes hard!"

AWeezy told the GCT, "I always thought there was a lot of potential in working with the Gutter Cat Gang. Excited with the prospects of working with Gutter's new Mayor, who bring strong comms, and is willing to build with us."

The Gutter Cat Times will continue to bring news from the recording studio of Gutter Records and their tracks. Stay tuned for more and follow @guttercattimes on Twitter for all things Gutter, all the time.
